GIA or AGL grading and certification of each emerald and CDTEC (Colombia)
The appraised market value of each emerald on the date of lab grading.
Mandate that the daily value of emerald(s) in any lot to be determined by the market price quoted (by grade and carat weight) in the GemGuide, Emerald Report.
Mandate that any emerald round created must provide every investor in any round with audited financial statements annually showing the market value of the lots held in safekeeping; and the income from management fees; expenses, and ancillary costs of round operations.

Emerald Trade has identified compliant exporters of emeralds who have all the required documentation showing legal provenance. Emerald Trade instructs the government to ship the emeralds to the United States together with the certification of the gemology laboratory that graded and certified the emerald.
Emerald Trade has each gem lab graded and certified and emerald valued and appraised by one of the most respected authorities in the country for official valuation determinations of emeralds.
Emerald Trade has the gem lab certified and appraised emeralds, together with the individual certificates and appraisals, transported by a bonded courier service to Miami, where they are placed in vaulted safekeeping.
Emerald Trade has the emeralds placed in vaults audited by an independent auditor and independent gemologist once each year.
